The ONLY good things about hearing of a celebrity death is that we get to find out things we didn't know about them and the stars of Hollywood's golden age lived at a time where personal details of their lives were mostly Hollywood sensationalism. But, Elizabeth Taylor was one of the earlier tabloid queens and by today's standards she seemed to lead a rather proper life. She married 8 times but it is seems she married the men she fancied because that was better than living in sin. She was chastised by the Catholic Church and Congress for her sinful union with Richard Burton while they were both legally married to other people. True, she broke up the Marriage of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher but scandalous at the time, no big whoop today.
